Daughter's incredible gesture surprises her cancer-stricken mother

A brave mother fighting cancer has burst into tears at her daughter's amazing display of solidarity, as her mum continues to battle through chemotherapy.

Tracy Mulcahy has been fighting a devastating diagnosis of stage four high-grade ovarian cancer and had started to lose her hair after relentless chemo treatment.

Tracy and her daughter Sophie headed to their local hairdressers, where they have become like family after seven years, where Sophie was given the task of shaving her mum's head.

To everyone's surprise, Sophie was handed the razor and decided to shave off her own long blonde hair in an emotional display of solitary and strength.

Both women burst into tears and held one another, while there was not a dry eye in the salon from other clients and hairdressers.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by ⚡️SOUTH WEST BLONDE SPECIALIST ⚡️ (@bambiblonde__)

The heartwarming moment was captured by the Bambi Blonde salon and posted to their Instagram, where the post racked up hundreds of thousands of likes and comments of support from all over the world.

"The whole salon was in tears," owner Claire Lovett said.

Sophie has since revealed she decided to do it because she didn't want her mother to "go through this alone".

"She means the absolute world to me. Heartwarming gesture for Qantas' oldest passenger

A 103-year-old passenger has received an emotional welcome onboard her Qantas flight, with the pilot and cabin crew erupting into cheers as she stepped on board.

Ngan Chun Kam aka ‘Mamma’, is believed to be the oldest passenger to ever travel with the Flying Kangaroo airline.

Mamma was born on January 1st 1920, and Qantas was founded 10 months later in November 1920.

After visiting family in Sydney for several weeks, Mamma was returning home to her native Hong Kong when Qantas staff on-board QF127 learned of her age.

“It was such an honour to have Ms Kam on our flight to Hong Kong,” Jayson Eng, Qantas customer service agent who was on the November 3rd flight, told news.com.au.

“We got her trip off to a flying start with a special welcome announcement from the Captain, which was broadcast throughout the entire aircraft.”

Mr Eng said it resulted in a big cheer and a round of applause throughout the cabin.

“Our cabin crew loved taking turns to introduce themselves to Ms Kam. We called her Po Po (grandma in Cantonese) as a sign of respect for her. She was such a delight to have on board.”

Mamma, who has six children aged 72 to 83, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, has been visiting Australia once a year since 1979 to visit her eldest son who lives in Sydney.

According to Mamma’s daughter-in-law Helen, at first she had no idea why the cabin erupted in a loud cheer as she doesn’t speak English.

It wasn’t until a friend who was also on the flight explained it was because she was the eldest passenger they’ve ever flown, and she began to smile.

“Everyone was clapping and cheering and she just felt so special,” Helen told news.com.au.

The airline also gifted Mamma, who was flying in business class, a goodie bag filled with champagne and merch.

“When she got to Hong Kong, she called me saying John (friend on the flight with her) left his bag, thinking it was his,” Helen said.

“I told her it’s what the airline gave her as a gift and she said ‘well I don’t drink champagne’ – I told her ‘well in that case bring it back with you to Australia on your next visit, we’ll have it’,” she laughed.

Richie and Gemma McCaw shame barefoot passenger on flight

All Blacks star Richie McCaw and his Olympian wife Gemma have shared their displeasure after an inconsiderate passenger invaded their personal space on a flight to the Rugby World Cup in France.

The couple - who were seated in economy class - were travelling with their young daughters Charlotte, 4, Grace, 2, and five-month-old Ella, when Gemma shared the video on Instagram.

"Lovely pedi colour but I think I'll have to put my foot down for this one," she captioned the Instagram story, as she panned to reveal the strangers barefoot on her daughter's armrest.

From across the aisle, Richie can be seen shaking his head in disgust.

In the next update, the Olympian showed her eldest daughter Charlotte writing a polite message for the stranger.

"Please put your foot down," the four-year-old wrote.

"I don't want to put my foot in it so Charlotte thought of trying this approach," Gemma captioned the story.

A few hours later Gemma revealed that the issue had been solved after a flight attendant stepped in.

"Update on the foot gate: hostess stepped in and asked her to kindly remove her foot from the seat. All is well."

Fans were quick to back the star, in an earlier post of the McCaw family at the airport.

"Please tell that guy resting his bare foot on the arm of your daughters seat to bugger off and to put on some socks and to remove his foot from that personal space," wrote one fan.

"Give that disgusting foot a shove after your daughter has drawn all over it," another commented.

"Off to watch some footie," quipped a third with a foot emoji.

"I hope you said something to the foot person, that is disgusting!!!" wrote a fourth.

Images: Instagram

"You ought to be ashamed": Aussie tourist causing strife in Japan

Sydney-sider Turan William Salis has been slammed after a TikTok of him entering the "women's only" train carriage in Japan went viral.

The video, which racked up over 2.3 million views, showed the 20-year-old unashamedly entering the strict female-only carriages on a Tokyo metro.

“You guys, did you know in Japan they have women-only carriages?” he said, before entering the carriage.

“It is like Saudi Arabia in here. I am the women-inspector, checking there is only women on this carriage.

“Yep yep, there is only women here. Cool. No men. I don’t see a single man in sight.

“Check complete, it really is a women-only carriage guys, wow.”

Salis was met by confused and furious stares from female passengers who were sitting in the carriage.

“This women-only carriage is the last thing I would expect to be seeing in such a free country like Japan, reminds me of something I would see in a country with strict segregation rules," he captioned the clip.

“Japan was the last place I expected to be seeing strict male-female segregation in public.”

The reason why Japan has female-only carriages is to protect women from sexual harassment and help them feel safe while taking public transportation.

According to Japanese National Police Agency and the Ministry of Justice, the number of indecent assaults in train carriages nationwide in Japan ranges from 300 to 500 each year, with indecent sexual behaviour – such as groping, unwanted touching and intimidation – a major issue on trains, especially during peak hours.

Over half of female passengers on the trains in Japan had, at one point in their lives, been groped on trains around Tokyo according to a 2005 investigation.

Female-only carriages have become a permanent fixture since the early 2000s and are common feature around the country because of this.

Thousands of people across the world have slammed Salis.

“You should get out of Japan, you disrespectful piece of s**t,” commented one person.

“They have these carriages to protect them from weirdos like you,” another said.

“This is such a disgrace. You ought to be ashamed.”

One Japanese man even created a response video about Salis' clip, slamming him for invading a safe space for women.

“You knew that that was the women-only passenger car, which means you can’t go in, men cannot enter. But you didn’t care. You broke the rules, you invaded a safe space for women," he said.

“Do you know why we have those? That’s because there are so many creepy men in Japan, who try to go behind the women, try to take pictures under their skirts.

“There has been a lot of physical harassment as well. It has been a very serious issue.

“That is why they had to take these measures. But you dare to call it segregation.

“You don’t know anything about my country. You go there, and you don’t have any intention to respect our culture and rules.

“It’s incredibly disrespectful, I can’t believe this kind of behaviour. If you have no intention of respecting us, then leave my country.

“We are not there so that you can make TikTok and YouTube videos, so that you can be famous.”

This is not an isolated incident for Salis, who has been on holiday in Japan since mid-August.

The tourist previously landed himself in a strife after walking around without a shirt on, which is socially unacceptable in Japan.

In another video, Salis filmed himself picking up dogs - who were distressed by his actions - despite getting yelled at because there are strict rules to not pick up the animals at the dog cafe.

Images: TikTok

"I’m sorry, but no": Passenger on 12-hour flight stops woman from reclining

A passenger on a 12-hour flight from Paris to Los Angeles went to great lengths to stop the woman in front of her from reclining her seat.

The footage captured on August 13 shows a woman in a black jumper stretching her arms out in attempt to prevent the passenger in front of her from reclining, reported The Sun.

The chair jolts as the passenger in front kept trying to move back the seat, but the woman behind her was persistent, and used all of her strength to push the seat forward and keep it in an upright position.

The traveller seemed to give up trying to recline her seat, but the woman behind her continued to place her hands on the seat.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but no,” she says as she continued her attempts.

As tension rose between the two passengers, the woman in front gets fed up and asked if she could talk to someone, before confronting the traveller behind her.

“Just let me know, what’s going on?,” she asked.

“I said respectfully, can you please stop moving it back?" the woman behind her responded.

“Respect the person behind you,” as the person in front explained that she is trying to recline her seat so she can sleep.

The woman behind continued to tell her to “respect the person behind you” as she tried to watch a movie on her laptop.

The confrontation seemed to work as the seat in front came to a standstill.

Images: The Sun

"Holy crap that's rude": Inflight act sparks outrage

A woman’s “selfish” act has sparked outrage online after a Reddit user shared a picture of her mid manicure on a three-hour flight.

The Reddit user who posted the photo also claimed that the strong smell of nail polish remover filled the cabin and many other passengers had asked her to stop, but she refused.

“The flight attendant asked her after four of us asked her to stop and she didn’t, because by the time the flight attendant got involved she was doing the top coat,” the Reddit user wrote.

Initially, the Reddit user said they did “the British thing” by glaring at the back of the woman’s head and “tutting loudly” in hopes that she would put it away.

But eventually the passenger had enough of the overpowering smell of acetone and asked a flight attendant to intervene.

Many other travellers replied to the Reddit post condemning the woman’s actions.

“My brain can’t comprehend this level of entitlement and selfishness,” wrote one user.

I love doing my nails, but I would never do them in such an enclosed space where people can't escape the fumes. Holy crap that's rude,” commented another user.

“I would have been SEETHING. Imagine if people near her had asthma,” wrote a third.

“I detest the smell of acetone and other chemicals used for the process of finger nail decoration. Headache within seconds,” commented a fourth.

“Happened on a flight I was on; a flight attendant came over and shut that down within a minute for degrading the air quality,” commented another traveller.

Another user questioned whether nail polish was even allowed in cabin luggage.

“How is nail polish and nail polish remover allowed on a carry on bag??? Both are highly flammable and both give off ridiculous amounts of fumes,” they commented.

A few other Reddit users didn’t see a problem with it and wondered why it would bother other people.

“I didn’t see the issue at first ... I think nail varnish smells lovely, I’m just now learning that most people do not share my opinion,” commented one user.

“I still don’t personally see the big deal, but I’m not particularly sensitive to chemical scents,” commented another.

Image: Reddit

Larry Emdur has come under fire for sharing a seemingly innocent meme about Prince Harry at King Charles' coronation.

The Morning Show host shared a photo to his Instagram account of a screenshot from the livestream of the royal event on Saturday, showing how Princess Anne's large feather hat was blocking Harry's view as he sat behind her.

Taking a jab at the fractured relationship between the Sussexes and the working royals, Larry then wrote a cheeky caption alongside the photo.

He said, "Charles: How can we block out the naughty one? Anne: Leave it to me bro."

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by @larryemdur

While most of Larry's online followers found the joke amusing, some fans of the Sussexes criticised Emdur for his constant digs at Harry and Meghan.

One person wrote, "How rude! I turned off your channel when you started on Harry. Why not cover Andrews face instead? Harry was a total gentleman. And looked so happy and relaxed. Just leave him alone."

Another disgruntled fan wrote, "Such a deads**t Larry! Who watches you anyway these days?"

Emdur responded by posting the nasty comment on his Instagram grid and telling the troll to click unfollow if his content bothers them so much.

"So, two things: Firstly, I 100 per cent agree with you," the 58-year-old presenter began.

"Secondly, and I'm not a qualified doctor, but honestly you need to unfollow me IMMEDIATELY!!!! And go and follow people on Insta who make you happy, make you smile and bring you joy. All the best," he added.

Emdur was flooded with support for his classy response.

"Larry, you are the most funniest person ever. Keep it up and forget the haters as they don't have anything better to do," one fan commented below his post.

Princess Anne's large feather hat, which obstructed the view of Prince Harry sitting behind her, was a major talking point from the coronation, with some believing it was a deliberate move by the Firm to "punish" the Duke of Sussex, who has been outspoken in his criticism of the Royal Family.

Image credits: The Morning Show / YouTube

School principal forced out after parents complain statue of David is too rude

Hope Carrasquilla, a US charter school principal, has been forced to resign from her position after a parent decreed an art lesson to be “pornographic”.

Carrasquilla was given an ultimatum - either she stepped down, or she would face termination from the Tallahassee Classical School - according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

“It saddens me that my time here had to end this way,” she told the publication.

Carrasquilla also explained that she had been informed of her options by the school’s board chair, Barney Bishop. While Bishop has confirmed that he did hand down the ultimatum, he did not expand on why. However, Carrasquilla believes a Renaissance art lesson to be the main contributing factor.

The lesson in question saw students study Michelgangelo’s classic David, as well as his Creation of Adam fresco painting, and Boticelli’s Birth of Venus.

Apparently, the school is required to educate students about Renaissance art in their 6th grade. But for three parents this wasn’t reason enough, with each of them voicing their concerns about the lesson plan, while claiming that it had caused their children upset.

Two of the parents simply wanted to have been notified about the content before it reached their children, but one had stronger feelings, branding the situation “pornographic”.

Carrasquilla said that one of them was “point-blank upset”, and “felt her child should not be viewing those pieces.”

But as she informed HuffPost, things were “a little more complicated than that”, before sharing that the school’s usual protocol would be to inform parents before their children are presented with classical art, such as David.

According to the now-former principal, a “breakdown in communication” between herself, the direction of operations, and the art teacher has brought upon a kind of administrative oversight, and the parents had never received a letter about the lesson.

This came after a new rule was passed in February, with the school board mandating that parents must be notified a fortnight before any “potentially controversial” was taught to students. Parents would also be presented with the option to review their child’s curriculum, as well as any related media, with a reminder to be sent a week ahead.

“Parental rights are supreme,” Bishop explained, “and that means protecting the interests of all parents, whether it’s one, 10, 20, or 50.”

As her story began to circulate around the globe, Carrasquilla went on to explain in a statement that for a year, Bishop had “expressed his displeasure with my leadership when parents became upset about policies or procedures not being followed to the T.

“He was more concerned about litigation and appeasing a small minority of parents, rather than trusting my expertise as an educator for more than 25 years.”

Images: Getty

Real estate agent divides internet with “sweet gesture” to hopeful homeowner

A real estate agent has divided the internet after sending a hopeful homeowner a scratchie ticket along with a rejection letter.

The anonymous wannabe buyer shared a photo of the letter they received from their agent with the scratchie card alongside it on Reddit, explaining how they had missed out on their dream home.

The letter begins in capital letters, reading “Really sorry you missed out”.

“I wanted to personally thank you for your interest in my recent listing and say how sorry we are that you missed out.”

“I know how keen you were to make it yours, and as much as we love our work, there are parts that are difficult.”

“Telling someone the bad news that they have missed out on a property they are very keen on, is certainly the worst part of our role.”

“I wish we had more properties like this one for those who have missed out on this home.”

“I enclose a scratchie to try and soften the disappointment.”

“The agent said they hoped the wannabe homeowner would win some cash so ‘next time you can extend your offer just that little bit more’.”

The $1 scratch card gave the unsuccessful applicant the chance to win $100,000 in a game of Tic Tac Toad.

The gesture prompted a mixed response from commenters, with most readers calling out the agent for being “condescending”.

One comment read, “Might just be poorly worded, but this comes across very condescending and patronising. ‘Lol sorry you’re too poor. Maybe if you win some money we’ll be able to take it from you.’”

Another pointed out the agent’s potential grovelling to the buyer, saying “Absolutely no real estate agent is sending anything like this to mere tenants.”

Another frustrated renter wrote, “Great! Now if I could get a scratchie with every unsuccessful rental application, I wouldn’t need to rent.”

A few commenters praised the real estate agent’s actions, believing they had good intentions by including the scratchie.

One person wrote, “They didn’t have to give anything but still did. The wording could’ve been better but still, something for nothing.”

One other person was shocked by the support for the agent in the comments of the post, putting it blatantly, “They said ‘so next time you can extend your offer just that little bit more’.”

“Their intention is clear. They’re saying to offer more money. I genuinely am surprised by the comments on this post thinking this is a nice gesture and not blatant manipulation.”

“From future Captain Seb”: Little boy blows away Jetstar crew with kind gesture

An aviation-obsessed boy’s act of kindness has resulted in him experiencing the “best day of his life.”

Little Seb, 11, was travelling from Brisbane to Melbourne with his family for a holiday when he gave the Jetstar crew a homemade thank you card.

The card wrote, “From future Captain Seb,” including a drawing of a plane.

The message was relayed to the pilot, Captain Hadrian Zerbe, who found it so sweet that he invited Seb into the cockpit for a chat as other passengers left the aircraft.

Captain Zerbe was so touched by Seb’s love for aviation that he then invited the 11-year-old to come back and visit the Jetstar hangar.

“He said it’s the best day of his life so far,” Seb’s mum, Emma, told news.com.au.

“Definitely,” Seb confirmed.

Seb is a big fan of plane spotting and playing flight simulator games but said he had never been so close to a real plane.

When asked about the coolest part of the experience, Seb replied, “When I walked around the plane close up, it was just so big. Bigger than I expected. All the engines were massive,”

Seb was not the only one left in awe.

Captain Zerbe was blown away by how much knowledge the young boy had of the Airbus A320.

“I’ve certainly never met an 11-year-old who knows so much about aviation and hopefully he’ll be sitting in the flight deck as a pilot some day soon,” the captain said.

Emma said planes consume most of her son’s thoughts; even before he could talk, he was overjoyed whenever he heard a plane fly above.

“If I find something I tend to research it for the rest of the night before I go to bed,” Seb said regarding his aviation research, which he takes very seriously.

“He stops mid-play if he hears something,” Emma said.

“Every story or picture has always been a plane. At school, it’s always planes that come home. He doesn’t deviate much from that.”

Seb has plans to get his recreational pilot licence when he turns 16.

“I’ve got some good news for you”: Tracy Grimshaw's generous final gesture

Tracy Grimshaw has ended her time on A Current Affair with her trademark generosity and gave a much-needed boost to a local community ravaged by recent floods.

The TV host and journalist presented the town of Eugowra with a $50,000 donation from Coles, which will go to Givit’s Eugowra Flood Appeal and be used by the community to pay for fuel, groceries and hardware.

“I think I have got some good news for you.” Grimshaw told locals Amanda Mongan and Judd McKenna.

“Aaron Ralph from Coles is standing off to the side there, Aaron would you like to come in (to the shot) because I think you’re about to make everyone’s day.”

The Coles regional manager proceeded to give the large cheque to Mongan and McKenna, to the cheers of locals standing behind them.

"Here at Coles, we love to look after our communities that we serve and Eugowra is in the heartland of our region out here in the Central West," Ralph said.

“We’ve come out last week and saw the devastation and it was really, really heartbreaking. We dropped off a delivery of essential goods and today we just wanted to go again and we want to kick off the Eugowra Flood Appeal with a massive $50,000 donation to the community.”

Image: A Current Affair

After receiving the good news, McKenna grabbed Ralph for a heartfelt hug.

When asked how they would use the money, McKenna said it would go back into the community.

“These people that stand behind us here are the backbone of the community,” he said.

“If this can help them in any way possible, some goods, whatever (they) need to get back on their feet, this is what it’s going to be used for.

“These people have lost everything - their houses, houses have floated away, they’ve got nothing. But look at this spirit behind us.”

Earlier in the segment, McKenna and Mongan spoke about what it was like during the floods and how their homes and businesses have been affected.

Mongan, who has lived in Eugowra her whole life, watched her hairdressing salon go under and waited for eight hours on the roof of her home with her family before being rescued

“You’re not the only one who did that, are you?” Grimshaw asked.

“Oh god no, we were one of the lucky ones, we were slightly safer than the other people in the full force of the carnage,” Mongan said.

“It was just any general flood, we were downtown helping people pack up and next minute, a wall of water came.

“We’d moved our cars and ran back to the house for a few things, and tried to get our kids down the back lane to the evacuation centre at the school and we nearly got washed away, and luckily we have a big solid house that stopped the water a bit, so it rose slower.

“And then we just realised, ‘Oh my god, it’s going to go over our heads, we need to get up on our roof’, and from up there we could see houses moving. It was just unimaginable, really can’t describe it.”

McKenna, who owns two cafes in town, was swept away in the water while trying to get others to safety and his businesses were damaged.

The pair said donations were sorely needed to help the community recover and thanked those who had already given funds, time and help in other ways.

"The kindness and generosity has been incredible," Mongan said.

"And we don't know how we will ever thank those kind people."

The episode marked the end of Grimshaw’s 17-year tenure as the show’s host, after she made the shock announcement that she would be stepping down from the show’s top spot in early September.

Image: A Current Affair

Kate Middleton’s touching gesture to child

Kate Middleton has once again shown her affection for young children by offering up her poppy to a young child who didn’t have one.

The Princess of Wales was visiting Colham Manor Children's Centre as a royal patron for the Maternal Mental Health Alliance.

A mother of three herself, the Princess spoke to new mums and families who have struggled since giving birth.

On her way out, she bumped into three-year-old Akeem, who bombarded Kate with a series of questions – including asking for her name.

“What is your name?” the curious kid asked.

“My name is Catherine. Nice to meet you,” she responded.

It’s not everyday you get a poppy from a Princess 😊 Akeem who’s 3 was very chatty when Kate unexpectedly stopped to say hello at a maternity mental health visit so she gave him her remembrance poppy. Thanks Liberty from Colham Manor primary and Akeem’s mum for letting me share pic.twitter.com/ykP1wyujtf

— Rhiannon Mills (@SkyRhiannon) November 9, 2022

She then asked Akeem if he had a poppy, pointing to her own, before he reached over and said, “No, I haven't found one”.

"Would you like mine?" the Princess then asked, to which Akeem said yes – at which point she proceeded to take off her poppy.

"Do you know what this is for? It's for remembering all the soldiers who died in the war," the Princess told the young boy as she removed the poppy from her coat.

“Here you go, that’s for you. You look after it,” she then said to the excited child before handing the sharp pin to his mother.

Images: Twitter

Small gestures are most important in relationships

It’s not grand gestures and lavish gifts that make love last but the little things that you do and say that show how much you care.

The Enduring Love project by Open University in Britain surveyed more than 5,000 people on their relationships and found, contrary to popular belief, it’s not big displays of love that count but the mundane, day-to-day gestures, like sharing a cup of coffee, that helped sustain a relationship and were crucial to relationship satisfaction.

“Surprise gifts and small acts of kindness were valued highly, with ‘a cup of tea’ being singled out as a significant sign of their partner's appreciation.

Bouquets of flowers and boxes of chocolates were seen as less important than the thoughtfulness behind the gesture,” the study states.

Jacqui Gabb, co-author of the project, noted, “Actions really do speak louder than words and many people consider a loving gesture to be as valuable as hearing ‘I love you’.

Grand romantic gestures, although appreciated, don't nurture a relationship as much as bringing your partner a cup of tea in bed, or watching TV together.”

The project identified sharing values, faith, beliefs, tastes, ambitions and interests with their partner, as well as expressions of intimacy and being aware of one another’s needs as important to relationship satisfaction.

It also found having children affected relationship quality more than any other factor and mothers are happiest in their life than any other group.

Co-author Janet Fink said: "With a tough economic climate, the rise in grey divorce and social media opening up new ways to start affairs, it isn't always easy to keep love alive today.

"However, our survey has shown that surviving adversities – even very difficult situations such as being out of work – can make a relationship much stronger. What doesn't break you can make you."

Image: Shutterstock

Karen’s Diner slammed for "crossing the line"

Karen’s Diner has been slammed for crossing the line and body shaming a man for his receding hairline.

The popular restaurant popped up and instantly became a sensation where the staff are basically required to be “very rude” to customers.

However, in this instance, the staff at Karen’s Diner in Brisbane went a step too far and made a comment about a man’s receding hairline.

“What’s one thing your f***ing sign says,” the visibly angry man yells at the workers.

“No body shaming,” he said as he pointed to the sign of instructions which must be followed.

At the man’s feet are some napkins and straws which suggest the man may have thrown them in fury.

The video was shared to TikTok by Bec Hardgrav who said that during her time there, the staff were commenting about people’s looks.

“They were making offensive comments about people’s appearances," she said.

“They told my friend she needs to brush her hair, like how mean is that.

“They told my other friend that she was too old and threw cups at us.

“I know they’re paid to be mean to you but it was a little hectic. Safe to say I probably won’t come back."

Some people commented on the video saying that people should not go to the restaurant if they can’t handle the banter.

“You should all know the risks before entering. If you’re too soft, don’t eat there,” someone wrote.

“Karen's shouldn't go to Karen's diner,” another commented.

“Do people not understand the concept on this place? If you’re going to get offended and mad, don’t go- simple,” another wrote.

Others however, were on the man’s side saying he knew the rules more than the staff did and applauded him for his stance.

“Literally the guy at the end is on the right,” someone commented.

“There’s a difference between Karen’s and bullies,” another wrote.

“The guy at the end is well in the right,” someone else wrote.

The Karen’s Diner website also has the house rules which must be followed otherwise people will be asked to leave for breaking them.

“No racist, sexist, homophobic or ableist comments or slurs will be tolerated,” the list begins.

“No body shaming, no sexual harassment, any damage or vandalism of the venue will lead to instant removal from the venue, keep your food and drink on your tables, don’t throw them, it’s not fun.

“Even though this is Karen’s Diner, OHS rules still apply. We are a functioning restaurant so do not interfere with hospitality processes.

“Just sit down, shut up, eat your food and bring on the banter.”

Images: TikTok

Shoo! PM's "dismissive gesture" causes chaos

Anthony Albanese has come under fire after being accused of making a rude gesture towards Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley while in parliament.

The Prime Minister has allegedly taken to “shooing away” Liberal MPs in the last fortnight during Question Time, but his "disrespectful" gesture on Thursday left Ms Ley asking how seriously he took his pledge to treat women with respect at work.

“Anthony Albanese has talked a really big game about making parliament a more respectful, fit-for-purpose workplace,” she told news.com.au.

“I don‘t mind the rough and tumble of politics, but I do mind the hypocrisy that he displayed in Question Time today."

“If Anthony Albanese wants to be rude to a woman and dismissively wave her away when she’s trying to speak in parliament, that’s a choice for him, but it’s completely out of step with the values of a modern workplace in this country.”

Was this gesture disrespectful? "Not you lot!": Michael Caton hangs up on Kyle and Jackie O

Australian actor Michael Caton has no time for radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s radio show, it seems, after he dramatically hung up on a producer calling on behalf of the show.

‘Intern Pete’ Deppeler called the star of The Castle directly on Thursday, after failing to reach him through a representative, to offer a right of reply to Henderson’s claim on-air that he had been rude to her ex-husband at a party two decades ago.

Deppeler told the hosts on Friday that Caton blew up at him as soon as he introduced himself.

He recalled saying, “Hi, Michael. It’s Intern Pete from the Kyle and Jackie O show…” before he was interrupted by Caton.

The Packed to the Rafters actor reportedly became angry, yelling, “No! Not you lot!” before hanging up.

The unsuccessful call came after Henderson claimed Caton was rude to her ex, ‘Ugly Phil’ O’Neil, at the Australian People’s Choice Awards after-party during the 90s, when the couple were still married.

“We loved The Castle. At the after-party, Phil goes and buys a bottle of red wine and takes it over to Michael Canton,” Henderson recounted on Thursday’s show.

“He says, ‘Mate, I just love you and what you do, and I wanted to give you this bottle of wine’. [Caton] said, ‘No thanks’. So Phil just walked back with the bottle of wine.

“I think he actually said worse than that, if I’m honest. A polite way of saying, ‘Go away’.”

Henderson said O’Neil returned looking dejected, telling her, “Oh wow… that was embarrassing.”

She then warned listeners that it’s “really hard” to approach celebrities you like with the hope they’ll be nice.

“You hear horror stories… they’re not all lovely,” she said.

Though it is unknown why Caton hung up on the producer, The Daily Mail speculated that Caton's response may be due to Henderson’s claims, or that the star may still be annoyed with Deppeler for confusing him with American actor Michael Keaton during a red carpet interview in 2018.

Images: Instagram / Getty Images
